THE VILLAGE FOUNDATION SOCIAL WELFARE TRUST is a Charitable Trust Registered under Trust Act with Registration No - 199/2003 and certified under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961.We have been working since 2003 by Implementing Various Projects related to Education, Skill Development Training, Healthcare, Economic, Environment and Empowerment of the Downtrodden Citizens of India.
This proposal delineates our strategy to provide specialized training in Electronics and Retail, aiming to bolster employment prospects for individuals in these communities.
This proposal aims to extend our training programs to marginalized areas, thereby augmenting employment opportunities for aspiring Electronics and Retail professionals. By concentrating on Field Technician Computing and Peripherals and Retail Sales Associate, we seek to bridge the skill gap prevalent in these domains.
We propose to conduct training programs in the following districts of Tamil Nadu under the auspices of PMKVY4.0: Tiruvannamalai and Vellore.

The total geographical area of the district is 6191 sq. km. (ranks eleventh among the districts) comprising the Revenue Divisions of Tiruvannamalai and Cheyyar. he district has six taluks, eighteen blocks including the tribal block of Jawadhu Hills, and 1067 revenue villages (http://www.Tiruvannamalai.tn.nic.in) and 860 panchayat villages.
One sixth of the district is covered by reserve forest and hills which are parts of the Eastern Ghats. The Javadis are the loftiest mountains of the region, covering the north-western portion of Chengam taluk and the western part of Polur taluk. The general elevation of Jawadhu Hills is 2500 ft., with peaks rising up to 4200 ft. in some parts. Other important peaks of the district are Tiruvannamalai (2668 ft.) and Kalasagiri (2743 ft.). The general slope of the region is from west to east.
The soil is mostly of red ferruginous variety, both sandy and loamy with black clay. Black soil is mostly found near the rivers Palar, Pennaiyar, and Cheyyar. The red series of sand is predominant in Tiruvannamalai and Vandavasi taluks. Pirrohotite is said to be available in Polur. Black and multi-coloured marble stones are available in plenty in the regions of Chengam and Vandavasi. These were made use of by the Sambuvarayas in the past, exhibiting their architectural skills.
The general climate of the district is tropical, The district receives rainfall from both the North East and South West monsoons. The North East monsoon is somewhat stronger, except in the southern taluks of Cheyyar and Vandavasi. The average rainfall during 2002–2011 in this district was 1038 mm (http://www.Tiruvannamalai.tn.nic.in) .Palar, Cheyyar, and Pennaiyar are the main rivers running through this district. At Sathanur, about 30 km west of Tiruvannamalai, a dam has been constructed across the Pennaiyar River. About 21,000 hectares are irrigated through 106 channels from these three rivers.
